3D Virtual Tour Add-Ons

When you order a digital twin / 3D virtual tour from topVIEW there are a number of add-ons we can create from the 3D capture data. These include taking still photos from the imagery, building a floor plan from the measurement data, providing 3D point cloud files for further development in 3D software, or creating basic but effective videos from the virtual tour imagery and more. These add-on options are outlined below.

Still Photos

Still photos are still essential. They are versatile and work in both print and digital formats. We offer both professional (separately captured with a professional camera) or basic (pulled from the 3D camera imagery). The basic option taken from the 3D camera imagery tend to be high quality but the image size isn’t quite as large as is captured by our professional camera, we don’t have the same manual control over dynamic range and there is no aperture control – so no shallow depth of field photos. Video

Similar to still photos we offer a professional option (separately filmed with a professional camera) and a basic option (video taken from the 3D virtual tour). The basic option is essentially screen recordings of the virtual tour edited together. It is effective at showing the space and provides a video preview at a very effective price. With professional video capture we can record audio and focus attention with narrow depth of field footage among many other creative options. Learn more.

Drone

Photos or video captured with a drone. Provides a unique aerial perspective. Perfect for setting the scene or capturing attention. Learn more.

Schematic Floor Plan

PDF floor plan with measurement info. Created from 3D camera measurement scan data. Learn more.

Auaha Solution

This is our proprietary 3D tour overlay solution where we can build you a custom navigation menu. This is perfect for large projects where you need a navigation menu to enable people to move between multiple areas within the same 3D model or between multiple 3D models, or between multiple 3D platforms – commonly Google Street View for exterior viewing and Matterport for interior viewing. Learn more.

Google Street View

If you are a business we can publish your 360° imagery from the 3D capture to your Google Maps listing where it shows up in the photos section of your Google business profile. 360° photos on Google tend to get many views and is a good way of increasing your exposure, it’s also additional content on your Google profile which is good for SEO. Digital Marketing

We can help with your digital advertising. Sam has many years of experience managing Google Ads and Facebook ads campaigns. We can also help with Google Analytics setup and goal creation. GA4, the new Google Analytics version is replacing Universal Analytics on 01 July 2023, many businesses have still not updated their Google Analytics tracking, if you are one of these businesses we highly recommend you create and implement GA4.

Technical 3D Files

What follows are technical 3D add-ons for use in various 3D software programs and the like. Not for typical business sales & marketing purposes.

MatterPak™ Bundle

The MatterPak™ Bundle is for architects, engineers, and construction professionals who want to import these assets into 3D third-party 3D editing/development programs (such as 3ds Max, ReCap, Revit, or AutoCAD) to conduct additional work on. Learn more.

For example:

  • Architects and engineers can use the point cloud to quickly create an as-built model and jump-start their designs.
  • Construction professionals can use the ceiling plan and floor plan images for documentation/verification and building turnover packages, or use the point cloud as a part of the QA/QC process.

E57 File

The Matterport E57 file contains a high-density point cloud for all scan locations in the Matterport space. It contains point cloud, pano images, and metadata from each scan location. The file format, .E57, is a compact, vendor-neutral point cloud format that’s defined by the ASTM E2807 standard. This format is widely adopted by most 3D design applications, so you can use your Matterport digital twin in a wide range of applications. Compared with the Matterpak, the E57 is a higher-density point cloud that processes a much larger dataset which results in more than 10x the detail in the point cloud compared with the MatterPak. Learn more.

With the E57 file:

  • Architects and designers can conceptualize designs with a detailed understanding of the space.
  • Project stakeholders and construction teams can collaborate more efficiently.
  • Building operators can maintain inventories of equipment and assets across a portfolio.

BIM File

Matterport BIM file provides precision 3D as-builts for any space. Now architects, designers, and building engineers can reflect the current state of any building with BIM more quickly, easily, and cost-effectively than ever. Alongside Matterport BIM file, we offer Matterport Revit Plugin, a workflow automation plugin that directly integrates with Autodesk® Revit. Learn more.

TruePlan™ for Xactimate™

An easy way of getting a complete as-built accurate Xactimate compatible sketch of the property. Typically for use in the insurance claims industry and for works estimation.

TruePlan for Xactimate claims to speed up the estimating process by an average of four times and shortens the insurance claim cycle.

TruePlans are SKX files that you can easily import into Xactimate®. Learn more.
